I’m Christian, a trainee Five Element Acupuncturist with a background in film and post-production. Like many, I found myself caught in the relentless pace of modern city life, climbing an invisible ladder in a career that left me feeling lost and unfulfilled. The constant pressure began to take its toll, leading to a range of physical and mental symptoms.
Initially, I turned to a Western approach to address these issues, focusing on symptom management rather than understanding the root cause. It was a recommendation from a friend to explore Five Element Acupuncture that shifted my perspective. My understanding of acupuncture had been limited to treating physical issues like back pain. I was sceptical—how could acupuncture address my mental health?
What I discovered was an approach that taught me to pay attention to my body rather than fight against it. It revealed the connection between my mental state and the physical symptoms I was experiencing. Through this practice, I gained clarity, focus, and a renewed sense of direction.
This experience inspired me to retrain in this ancient system of medicine. My goal is to help others reconnect with their bodies and minds in a way that supports their overall health and wellbeing.
